OUR HISTORY
Navacel is a long-standing supplier for the offshore energy market, primarily in the North Sea. Our focus on safe operations, product quality, transparent business practices, and continuous improvement programs have enabled our growth in this market.
1974
THE BEGINNING
Navacel was founded by a former Babcock Wilcox employee to address a market opportunity in steel fabrication and manufacturing. Navacel acquired a part of the Babcock Wilcox facilities.
1980
FIRST OFFSHORE PROJECT
Under License from Ulstein, Navacel manufactures their first propeller and gearbox for an FPSO project. Navacel becomes the premier supplier for NOV in the manufacturing of winches and cranes.
2010
FIRST SUBSEA PROJECT
Navacel begins manufacturing subsea equipment
for APL.
2016
FIRST OFFSHORE WIND PROJECT
Navacel is awarded a contract for the manufacturing and electrical installation of the five towers and bottom sections for Equinor’s Hywind Scotland project.
2018
NEW MARKETS
Navacel prepares for the high demand growth of offshore wind projects.
